Kentish Pub Ale
ABV 3.8% IBU 52.1
The Battle of Britain lasted from July 10th, 1940 through October 31st, 1940, starting one month after the Dunkirk evacuation. The plan was for Nazi air superiority over Britain so an invasion would be possible to subjugate the British people. However, the Royal Air Force was able to repulse the Luftwaffe attacks, leading Churchill famously to proclaim that “Never, in the course of human conflict have so many owed so much to so few.” One important airfield during this time was Biggin Hill, in Kent, close to our UK home and so this Kentish Pub Ale celebrates the ales drunk by many of the pilots of the time, filled with an abundance of UK East Kent Golding hops.
Tasting Notes: This Kentish Pub Ale is brewed to the standards of the old Kent breweries. 100% UK ingredients, Maris Otter pale and crystal malts that give a nice toasty flavor combine with Northdown hops for bittering and tons of East Kent Golding hops for flavor and aroma.
